Cruise Terminal 2 sits in the Northport section of Port Everglades, directly beside the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, and it is the regular Fort Lauderdale home of Princess Cruises. If your booking says Regal Princess, Enchanted Princess or Sky Princess out of Fort Lauderdale, this is almost certainly your berth. Northport has its own approach logic: the SE 17th Street entrance drops you at Terminal 2 in moments, while drivers unfamiliar with the port default to the Eller Drive gate and then thread the length of the harbor through cargo traffic to get back north.
We route Terminal 2 drops through the correct gate as a matter of course. From FLL the ride is about three miles and under ten minutes; from Fort Lauderdale Beach or 17th Street hotels it is often five. Princess boarding at Terminal 2 generally opens between 10:30 and 11:00 AM with assigned arrival groups, and the building handles the flow well - our advice is to arrive just after opening, when the security and check-in lines are at their shortest and you are aboard in time for lunch on the Lido deck.
Debarkation runs in the other direction from about 7:30 AM, and Terminal 2 is one of the easier pickups at the port precisely because of the 17th Street access. Your driver waits in the terminal lane, you walk out with your luggage group, and you are on I-95 or at FLL departures before the parking garage has cleared. Fares are fixed: from $89 for airport legs, from $75 for local hotel runs, in anything from a Business sedan to a Sprinter Van for a full family sailing.
