Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport sits directly across US-1 from Port Everglades, which makes this one of the shortest airport-to-cruise transfers anywhere in the United States: two to three miles depending on your terminal, usually under ten minutes door to door. Short does not mean simple, though. On a multi-ship Saturday the port moves upward of fifty thousand cruise passengers, the taxi line at FLL backs up fast, and rideshare pricing surges exactly when the morning flight banks arrive. A pre-booked car removes all of that from your morning.
Your chauffeur monitors your inbound flight and adjusts the pickup automatically, then meets you inside arrivals with a name sign. Sixty minutes of waiting time is included on international arrivals and thirty on domestic, so a slow bag carousel never becomes your problem. From the airport we take the correct gate for your ship: Cruise Terminals 1, 2 and 4 sit in the Northport section near the convention center, while Terminals 18 through 29 are in Midport and are reached via the Eller Drive entrance off US-1. Telling a driver "the port" is not enough at Port Everglades - knowing the terminal matters, and ours do.
The fare is fixed when you book. Tolls, port entry, parking-lane dwell time and luggage handling are all inside the price, and there is no surge on embarkation mornings. If you land early we are early; if your flight slips to the afternoon we re-time the pickup and you still make the all-aboard cutoff, which is generally ninety minutes to two hours before sailing.
