Fort Lauderdale Hotels to Port Everglades

Five miles can still ruin an embarkation morning - unless the car is booked and the driver knows the gates.

Distance

2-6 miles

Travel time

10-20 minutes

fare

from $75

Most pre-cruise hotels in Fort Lauderdale cluster in three zones: the 17th Street corridor beside the port, Fort Lauderdale Beach along A1A, and the Las Olas and downtown area by the New River. All of them sit within two to six miles of the cruise terminals, a 10 to 20 minute drive. That proximity lulls people into leaving it to chance, and then embarkation morning arrives: every guest in the building wants a car in the same 90-minute window, hotel taxi queues stack up, and rideshares surge or cancel. A confirmed pickup time with a driver already assigned is the fix.

There is also a navigation detail locals know: Port Everglades has three entrances, and the right one depends on your ship. Northport Terminals 1, 2 and 4 - Princess and Celebrity country - are quickest through the SE 17th Street gate, minutes from the corridor hotels. The Midport berths, 18 through 29, where Royal Caribbean and Carnival board, are served by the Eller Drive entrance off US-1. Arriving via the wrong gate on a peak morning can add twenty minutes of security-lane crawl. Our chauffeurs run these gates every week and route accordingly.

The fare is fixed from $75 including luggage handling, and the same car classes scale from a couple in a Business sedan to a family reunion filling a 14-passenger Sprinter. We also handle the reverse leg: a driver waiting at your terminal at debarkation for the short hop back to a beach hotel, or onward to FLL and MIA for your flight home.
